I've always known I wanted to be a sparky. As a kid, I was more fascinated by the wiring inside a DVD player than the movie it was playing. After finishing school, I jumped straight into an electrical apprenticeship and was fortunate to train with a company that specialised in both electrical and security installations. This hands-on experience led me to earn dual certifications as an A-Grade Electrician and a Licensed Security Installer.

Installation and Field Support
Back in the day, I trained as a Cabinet Maker, specialising in the design, build and repair of custom woodwork. But, I’ve always been able to fix just about anything, or as my family say, ‘Maguiver’ things. I was mentored by my grandfather, who had grown up in the depression and learned to turn ‘anything into something’. After working behind a desk in the telecommunications industry (data, networks & fault management) for over 30 years, it’s great to be back on the tools and working in the fresh air again.
